FDNY S-56 Certificate of Construction Site Fire Safety Manager
From FDNY.gov: "The S-56 Certificate of Fitness is required where a Site Safety Manager or Site SafetyCoordinator is required by the Building Code for a construction site. The Construction Site Fire Safety Manager (CSFSM) shall conduct an inspection of the construction site and all fire safety measures on at least a daily basis, and maintain a record when construction, demolition and alteration work is being conducted."
To apply to the NYC Fire Department for the S-56 CSFSM Certificate of Fitness, candidates must first complete the S-56 course with a training provider approved by FDNY. NYST is an FDNY-approved provider of this course.
NYST's CSFSM course is taught by OSHA authorized outreach trainer and retired FDNY firefighter Joe O'Donnell
