A former baseball player and a young professional struggle to hold their relationship together as Taipei changes around them. Directed by Edward Yang and starring filmmaker Tsai Ming-liang collaborator Hou Hsiao-hsien, Taipei Story is considered one of the key works of the Taiwanese New Cinema movement.
