 Shrewsbury is a charming medieval market town in the heart of Shropshire, renowned for its winding cobbled streets, over 600 historic buildings, and picturesque setting within a loop of the River Severn. Visitors can explore the historic Shrewsbury Abbey, stroll through the award-winning Quarry Park and its beautiful Dingle Gardens, enjoy independent shops, cafés, and traditional pubs, or take a relaxing river cruise. Rich in history, character, and natural beauty, Shrewsbury offers the perfect blend of culture, heritage, and countryside charm, making it an ideal destination for a memorable day trip  
Meet at the Parkinson Building steps at 8:15 am to depart at 8:30 am.

This trip is not guided, once we reach Shrewsbury, you are free to explore the city on your own. An email will be sent out at least 1 day before the trip detailing the official travel itinerary and a list of recommended places to visit within the town.

We will be arriving back in Leeds at approximately 7:45 pm (depending on traffic).

Ticket includes direct transport to Shrewsbury and a direct return back to Leeds via a private coach hire.

The coaches will have a toilet on board and passengers will be fellow University of Leeds students. 

A trip leader will be present for the trip, and they will be your first point of contact on the day.

If you are late during pick up/drop off, there will be a phone number available - which will be emailed to you- for you to contact the trip leader on the day so they can inform the coaches to wait for you.

Please be aware, the coaches can only wait for a maximum of 10 minutes IF the trip leader has been informed.

Pick-up/drop-off will be at Parkinson Steps.

All tickets are non-refundable.
