RENEWAL CLASS
Site Safety Training (SST) Card in Brooklyn
Saturday, January 31, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The SST card expires every 5 years. To renew, you must attend 8 hours of training and apply to renew your card BEFORE the 5-year expiration date.
Under current NYC DOB rules:
If an SST card is renewed before it expires, only the 8-hour refresher is required.
If an SST card is already expired, the worker must complete 18 total hours — the 8-hour SST refresher plus a 10-hour SST course.
Retaking all 40 hours is no longer required.
For the 8 hours of training to count toward your renewal, they must be attended within one year of when you apply to renew your card. If any of the training is more than one year old when you apply to renew your card, that training is not eligible to count toward your renewal hours
New York Safety and Training is a DOB authorized traning provider of SST classes and is authorized to teach SST classes and issue SST cards.
