MOCACREATE: Luminaries We Love with Teaching Artist Yu Rong
Saturday, 27 June 2026, 18:00
Museum of Chinese in America · 215 Centre Street, New York
Celebrate Civics Season with us at MOCA! Commemorate the lives and achievements of your favorite Asian American heroes by making paper dolls (plus all their accessories!) Get inspired by amazing people from our Luminaries wall and our book collection, or honor someone you know. Make sure Mamie Tape has her books, Tyrus Wong has his paintbrush and paints, and physicist Chien-Shiung Wu doesn’t forget her lab coat! Free with museum admission.
Paint, build, craft, and collage with us! Inspired by the museum’s exhibitions and local artists, MOCACREATE explores different themes every month. MOCACREATE workshops are designed with families in mind, but all are welcome!
Free with admission! RSVP appreciated. MOCA Members should enter their promo code to access complimentary tickets. NYC residents can purchase pay-what-you wish tickets online or with our Visitor Services team.
