Jeffrey Osborne

Born in Providence, Jeffrey Osborne grew up surrounded by music as the youngest of 12 children. Several of his siblings pursued musical careers, and his father, Clarence ?Legs? Osborne, was a respected trumpeter who performed with legends such as Lionel Hampton and Duke Ellington. His father chose family over major touring opportunities, passing away when Jeffrey was just 13. As a solo artist, Osborne achieved significant success with Top 40 hits including ?Really Don?t Need No Light,? ?Don?t You Get So Mad,? ?Stay with Me Tonight,? and ?You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song),? along with the duet ?Love Power? featuring Dionne Warwick. His 1982 ballad ?On the Wings of Love? became an international hit.
