Rachmaninoff's First Symphony Immerse yourself in vivid sound and emotion as this program moves through night, sea and fire. Anna Clyne's "This Midnight Hour" opens with cascading strings inspired by poetry, conjuring a nocturnal world alive with mystery and momentum. Britten's "Four Sea Interludes" from the opera Peter Grimes shifts the scene from calm dawn to surging storm; evoking waves, bells and wind-swept horizons. The journey culminates in Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 1, unleashing sweeping Romantic intensity and bold orchestral color in a powerful, electrifying statement.
