Jason and the Argonauts (1963)

Jason sets sail in search of the Golden Fleece, hoping to reclaim a kingdom that was stolen from his family. The voyage quickly becomes larger than any one man, drawing heroes and monsters into its wake. The film is best remembered for Ray Harryhausens stop-motion work, particularly a sequence that remains one of the most celebrated effects scenes ever put on film.
