Drumming Bird and Wheelwright

Drumming Bird and Wheelwright at Eddie's Attic! Wheelwright makes music for late nights and early mornings, for dive bars, bonfires, and house parties. A Southwestern-inspired blend of country folk and grunge rooted in growing up in the desert city of Phoenix, Arizona. Songs of acceptance, hard luck, and love -- brash, honest, and without the kumbaya. Drumming Bird is the main vehicle of singer-songwriter Austin Sawyer, crafting a sound somewhere between the youthful noise of indie-rock and the poignant working-class introspection of Americana. His new record Roadkill Poetry was produced by Oscar-nominated songwriter Mike Viola (Panic! At The Disco, Andrew Bird, Jenny Lewis), with Griffin Goldsmith (Dawes) and Sebastian Steinberg (Fiona Apple, Iron & Wine) as part of the backing band.
