On September 19, Art Spin returns to the Port Lands for a bicycle-led adventure through one of Toronto's most dramatically transformed landscapes.

Art Spin is excited to return with one of our beloved bike tours and this time, we're heading back to the Port Lands!
We last visited in 2017, and the area has since undergone an extraordinary transformation. With the re-naturalization of the Don River and the creation of the new Biidaasige Park and surrounding wetlands, this new waterfront destination has become one of Toronto's great success stories and one worth celebrating together.

Join us on Saturday, September 19 for a one-time art experience featuring newly commissioned projects by Toronto-based writers and performers Fan Wu and Stephen Jackman-Torkoff, as well as a dance piece choreographed by Montreal-based artist Marie Lambin-Gagnon, presented in partnership with The Lassonde Art Trail. Stay tuned for more programming to be announced, you know how we like to surprise you!

Inspired by themes of re-naturalization and the relationship between the human and natural worlds, the tour will move through a landscape where industry, infrastructure and ecology meet, before culminating in a unique industrial space for a group exhibition, along with food vendors, bar service and music by DJ General Eclectic so we can all celebrate together!

We're not giving too much away just yet, but trust us, you'll want to come along for the ride.

Never been on an Art Spin bike tour?
Art Spin bike tours are a roving curatorial project that situates commissioned, site-specific works in unique public spaces throughout the city. Each Art Spin tour gathers a large audience on bicycles to visit the multidisciplinary installations and performances in a one-of-a-kind event. With few details released beforehand, Art Spin tours ask you to trust the curators and allow yourselves to be surprised by both the creative programming and the unusual spaces to which they lead you.
