Àbáse brings contemporary jazz into direct conversation with Afrobeat, Brazilian percussion and electronic groove culture.

Championed by the likes of Gilles Peterson, MOJO, Soulection and Okayplayer, the project is the imagination of Hungarian producer, composer and keyboardist Szabolcs Bognár.

His music pulls from an eclectic blend of global reference points, inspired by residencies and collaborations in Brazil, New York, Ghana and South Africa.
