The SWAG (Seriously, We Are Good) ist nicht nur ein Projekt oder eine Band sondern eine Familie. Sie ist zusammengetroffen über verschiedenen Wegen und nach Jahren harter Arbeit im Zusammenspiel mit Künstlern wie Yusuf Islam (aka Cat Stevens), 50 Cent, Jaguar Wright, Adel Tawil, K.I.Z, Marteria und Sido. Nun schreiben die Künstler von The SWAG an ihrer eigenen, gemeinsamen Musikgeschichte.
The SWAG stammt aus Afrika, USA, Österreich und Deutschland: Afromaniac (sampler), Jan “Stix” Pfennig (dr), King Solomon (voc), Rapturous Apollo Helios (lead voc), Roy Danger (keys), Stefan “Strinx” Fuhr (bass) und Sugarbear (git). Ihre individuellen Persönlichkeiten, ihre Loyalität und ihr starkes Vertrauen zueinander münden in die Vision und den Sound von The SWAG und kreieren einen einzigartigen musikalischen Style zwischen HipHop, Soul, Jazz und zeitgenössischer Clubmusik.

Jonathan raised in Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt moved to London in the early 90's. His love for all genres' s of music was installed from his early childhood by his father, who exposed him to Afrobeat, Jazz, Soul, Funk and Classical Music from an early age.
Jon started spinning professionally in London and was at home in the vibrant Hip Hop scene of the 90's. From strictly playing Hip Hop his interest and style when playing expanded to all genres of black music. He has an eclectic taste and you will hear Funk, Disco, Latin, Afro Beat, House, Jazz, Broken Beat as well as Dub Step or U:K Garage in his sets. A vinyl-junkie ... Jonathan still loves to spin the black wax and is still diggin in the crates!!!!
After living in London for 15 years he returned to his native Berlin in 2009. Jon joined BBE Records as a content provider and A&R when he met Peter Adarkwah in Berlin. Since then he has worked on the Strange Games and Things 5 compilation, with Pete and DJ Spinna. He brought acclaimed South African artist Spoek Mathambo, as well as New Zealand soul outfit Electric Wire Hustle to BBE, eclectic Rocker Elyas Khan and managed the recently acclaimed compilation " ... from the Archive" by Volcov, one of Europe's tastemakers on the underground club scene.
He has documented Philadelphia legends like Weldon McDougal, Joe Tarsia, and Earl Young for the now classic BBE Compilation Dimitri of Paris “Get Down with Philly Sound”. In Berlin Jonathan and Pete started BBE Soundsystem playing their eclectic, funky, classic mix of House, Soul, Funk Afrobeat and everything in between. Jon has a monthly residency with his friend DJ Stimulus and Köln and is working currently on projects with Stefan Leisering of Jazzanova and Jamie 326 from Chicago.
